Coleman employee, Melissa Newton, presented the workshop, Using twitter & Facebook at CDC, at the 8th Annual National Conference on Health Communications, Marketing, and Media held in Atlanta, GA in August 2014. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Public Health Information Coalition hold this annual conference to bring together individuals representing academia, public health researchers and practitioners from federal and state government and private sectors. The workshop provided excellent information on the effective use of social media and its impact on health communications and marketing.
