Protecting health during a pandemic crisis

Coleman Group begins a study of evidence-based health behavior change in communities during a pandemic

Pandemics and public health behavior change research
This study has components of casual, exploratory, and experimental design.

We are living — and working — through an unprecedented health crisis, threatening our families, friends, health, safety, education, livelihood, and the nation’s economy.

In the face of COVID-19 and future pandemic risks, which can hit our shores in a matter of hours, how can we save lives faster, blunt the effects of misinformation, credibly inform individuals of their risks, and quickly influence evidence-based, health behavior change?

The Coleman Group survey will address the need for a deeper understanding of unaddressed communities impacted by misinformation or omissions. It will target sample groups and use the data to design and test a behavior change intervention.
