2013 Coleman Group Internship Program

Janeirah Jones

Janeirah is one of The Coleman Group’s summer interns. She is a rising sophomore at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD. As a student of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, she plans to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in International Business as well as move on to obtain a Master’s Degree in business. While in college, she also plans to study abroad where she will have the opportunity to experience other cultures outside of her own, as she’s always desired.

Since coming to intern for The Coleman Group, Janeirah has developed not only a new sense of confidence about becoming a part of Corporate America, but also a better understanding of business. More importantly, she has a better understanding of the importance of professionalism, delivering great customer service to clients, and exceeding expectations.

Dayna Clayton

Dayna Clayton, a rising senior, is a student at The Bullis School located in Potomac, MD. In the summers past, she participated in many pre-college programs, including the Cleveland Institute of Art Pre-College Summer Program in which she competed and won a full scholarship to attend. In school, Dayna is an honor student whose extracurricular activities include varsity softball, dance, theater, exhibiting her art at art shows and being a classical flute soloist. In the future, Dayna would like to achieve great things. She would like to pursue careers in the fields of art, psychology, and now business, thanks to her two week internship at The Coleman Group.

Dayna looks with an open mind and heart towards the future. College is the next step in her life, and she is very thankful to the Coleman group for giving her a realistic view of what that future entails. Life is about communication and working with others. In the Coleman Group office, there is a diffusion of responsibility where everyone does their part. Dayna will take these essential ideas of communication and collaboration and apply it to her everyday life. For without them, there can be no success.

“I have really enjoyed my time here at The Coleman Group. Everyone was very welcoming and I’ve learned a lot. I would like to thank Mrs. Coleman for this wonderful opportunity; she truly is an inspirational and philanthropic woman.”
